With this network file manager, you can browse and open shared media files. Samba Streamer lets you play videos and music from Windows/Samba (SMB) shares directly on Android device without copying files first. No more need for bloated slow file managers like ES File Explorer. Samba Streamer is a small simple app which does the job of streaming your videos and audio files from shared directories right into your favorite Android media player.

Get it at Google Play Store

Additionally, Samba Streamer is capable of analyzing filename patterns and it attempts to download video files meta-info from web APIs, to present it in a nice viewer friendly way. That brings the experience of browsing your video files collection to whole new level. For better results name your video files like so; include movie title followed by 4 digit year for movies, or TV series title followed by season, episode notation in form "SnnEnn", where nn - are two digit numbers.

Having looked at the other apps this person wrote, letting this thread stay (we don't normally allow new forum users to advertise their products, especially in a first post), software is free (apparently includes adverts, but obviously very common these days), no red flags from the reviews.

Will you be available to respond to support requests here, if DroidBOX customers like and use your applications? The port mapper app looks interesting as well.

If the app has good feedback from our community, there may be some interest in building a relationship, should that be of interest.

Sure thing. I will be glad to answer any question or provide support for my apps.
