We'll check the settings in Android first, then move on to XBMC. The text below assumes you are using your TV/monitor to playback the audio generated by your X7. I don't have an AV amp to test whether the settings are the same - if any customers do, please try changing the settings, and let me know which of them work properly.

Open up Settings from its link in the list of all installed Android apps. Click on to the Sound submenu (if you can't see one, you may need to select the last tab and click More Settings first).
Is there an entry called Sound Device Manager? If so, select it, and check that RK29_RK1000 is selected in the Sound Output Devices section.

Now onto XBMC, open it up, scroll over to System and select it, now click on System and move to the Audio output menu.

Frodo XBMC (v12)
Audio output: Analog (? Does anyone else have a working setup with a different option here?)
Speaker configuration: This will depends on your TV, most likely 2.0 (stereo, no distinct vocal or bass channel)
Audio output device: Android, Audiotrack

Gotham XBMC (v13)
Speaker configuration: This will depends on your TV, most likely 2.0 (stereo, no distinct vocal or bass channel)

If you're having problems with audio in Android apps, or XBMC specifically, try matching the configuration above. If that still doesn't help, try to borrow another HDMI to miniHDMI cable and, if possible, plug the X7 into a different TV. This will help narrow down where the problem originates.

If you're still having problems, create a new thread.
