I recently tried to update Kodi on my t8, but think I put the krypton build which won't run on Android 4.4, now it's unusable, is it possible to reinstall a working version without factory resetting the droidbox.
You should be able to simply uninstall the krypton version. You can replace it with one of the kodi clones like cemc or ftmc (cemc for sure is in the google play store) which have krypton like functionality.
I think I've messed up the install in DBMC, but if I open the Kodi app it works fine and have installed the Neptune Rising build just fone, it's not what I wanted but a usable workaround.
You can also fresh start your dbmc installation. Go to android - system - apps - dbmc. Click on it, force stop then clear data. It is now ready to reapply builds and/or addons. With builds, make sure you apply a jarvis (kodi 16) compatible build.
