I've seen sponsored ads on Facebook what looks like an android box with 5000 games from atari, spectrum, neo Geo, Nintendo, etc for £130, pretty sure something like that wouldn't be too hard to do. Can someone tell me type of box to use and how to set up?

As you are on the forum for boxes supplied by Droidbox who have their own games playing machines, you will not be surprised that knowledge of other suppliers machines is limited. But you might want to look at this blog

In the meantime what you have posted is a very cheap raspberry pi loaded with a custom games ROM for £130. All of which you can do yourself for considerably less.
Ask yourself if you the cost is worth it. And what support is available if things go wrong?

Another popular emulator option for Android is Happy Chick http://www.happychick.hk/ . You can get the two USB SNES controllers on Amazon for around £13, they are not the best quality but do the job. I have been meaning to check if the 8bitdo controllers work on our devices, the controllers are a bit expensive but great quality. I use one for Retropie in a original SNES case mod I made. I will try and check tonight if I get a chance.

Also, do not buy these premade raspberry pi bundles. They are far cheaper to buy and put together yourself.
