Screen going blank on start up

Hi

My box fires up fine. After 20 seconds the home screen goes blank every time. I have to get the original remote out and press menu to get it back to life.

Any suggestions for fixing this?

Worth checking if "sleep" has been inadvertently set to some low timeout?

Go to android - settings - more setting (maybe on second line under preferences), then display - sleep and check the value.

Thanks - that fixed it. Nothing set by default!

Interesting - it has reverted to having nothing set and it going blank after 15 seconds. Any idea how to save this preference?

Have you installed any screensaver style apps or 3rd party apps. It may be one of these apps that is activating and keep changing it. It should not revert back if you had changed it.
