T8 - Android to T8 Openelec

I have tested the android T8 box and sometimes it seems to struggle smooth play back of streams.

\I have a PI 2 and installed openelec on it to give it a try and it seems like openelec plays smoother than android.

Is it possible to wipe the T8 box and install openelec? or have a dual boot

Have you tried the video acceleration in System, Video and then Acceleration. Now make sure that all is high lighted in Libstagefright and MediaCodec, if you are on Kodi 15. and above. If you are on Kodi 14. Helix then make sure you also set decoding method to Hardware accelerated and highlight all underneath. See if this helps you....
