Thought i would ask here before i go to support.

Is the power button at the front of the box next to the clock supposed to switch the device on and off?

Mine doesn't seem to want to do that. No response with short press from both on and off state. Long press when on reboots the device.

I should add that the device powers both on and off with the remote.

As long as the device works right and the remote control works I wouldn't sweat it

The trouble is, if i opt for an aftermarket remote that cant be IR programmed, i will have to use the included remote and the aftermarket one.

I agree if your after a different remote then it needs sorting but TBH Ive never used it at all. I use the normal remote and its perfect.
Hope ye get it sorted.

It may be that the switch has come out of place inside the box, if that has happened, we can pop it back into place in the office or give steps to do it yourself, (should just require a Phillips screwdriver)
