T8 Question Re: External HDD

Hi there,

Hope someone can help just got myself one of these T8 boxes and am having issues getting the box to recognise my usb powered external hdd and was wondering if the box had enough power to run or if there was some other reason as to why the box wont recognise it.

Hello, Thanks for inquiring and sorry for late reply. We have been very busy last month. Please try to use a powered USB hub.

Mains powered that is, not a bus-powered hub.
If your hard drive happens to be one that connects with a mini (not micro) USB plug at one end, and you have a cable with TWO USB plugs at the other end (one for data and power, the 2nd USB plug to provide more power), then try that as well.
