T8-S Openelec dev update error

Hello

I have tried to do an update in openelec using the openelec dev update option in the programs addons but all i get is a message saying please check url in addon settings

I have looked there and there is no url in that box does anyone have the current address to enter ?

Maybe because most people don't go anywhere near this complex stuff. Me neither. However, a quick google reveals this guide which suggests you can select a source from a list.

Have you tried the step shown in the thread linked to in "Similar threads"? https://droidboxforums.com/posts/14689/ If the updates can't be seen, wiping just openELEC should allow the repo to be used again, allowing updates once more. You'd need to re-run the Wizard or install add-ons etc by hand in openELEC, but you'd have an update.
You could also use the OTA Updater app in Android as this will also update openELEC. See https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/t8t8-s-ota-update-12-11-2015/ . That approach would involve wiping Android's data to get you the latest builds of the preinstalled apps.

i thought that the droidbox t8s has a custom openelec that could only be updated via the ota

I was under the impression that the OTA Updater app in Android's downloaded image contained both Android and openELEC images within it. Will need to downgrade a device then carefully check openELEC before and after. Can you give me a kick if I don't respond by end of weekend?
