T8-s plus v1 version 5.1/ 6

Hi droidbox team and members

I was just wondering if droidbox's would be doing ota updates to the new android version 6? As I'm on 5.1 on the t8-s plus.
I noticed the other week that my Samsung phone had a update and is now on Android version 6 and this is why I am asking this question. Thanks in advance. Bez

I don't think anyone has successfully ported android 6 onto the amlogic s812 chip used by the Droidbox t8s plus v1 amongst others.

I take that as a no then for the mean time. But I gather that 5.1 is going to be fine to use for a while? Thanks for your response.

Yes 5.1 will be fine to use for a while. Is there anything you are missing from android marshmallow?

I was just wanting to know that everything would work alright on 5.1 so that I didn't have to buy a new box already as I've only had it a year. It would start getting a bit pricey if you had to keep upgrading boxes every year, that's why I asked about updating to version 6 cause that would of been cool.
