t8-s usb dvd / blu ray drive for films? does it work?

i have ordered a droidbox t8-s...

i want to know if it is possible to connect usb devices such as an external usb blu ray drive like you would use on your computer and used it to play films on blu ray disks?

i don't want to buy an usb blu ray drive to find out that it does not work.

has anyone tried it with either a usb dvd or blu ray drive?

also what app would i need to play them?

if someone has the equipment to try it i would be grateful..

I tested box with
Transcend

DVD+/-RW USB Transcend TS8XDVDS-K, Ultra slim

It works great,read speed is good .

Es file EXplorer was capable of opening Drive

Basically anything that android supports box should also supports,cant really tell for webcams but its worth for try!

DVD video playback shouldn't be an issue in Kodi from most USB optical disc drives
BluRay support varies between different builds of Kodi/XBMC. I think at least simple playback of the main video file was supported last time I checked the Wiki. Don't have a BluRay reader to test with directly, sorry.
