Hi i was watching a movie earlier and it froze about 3/4 the way through, i exited and used the app killer/cache clear thinking all would be well. re-launching kodi didn't work as all that happened was a first time run and black screen. After looking into file manager and running an sd analysis i saw i only had 20MB of space left and i think the temp folder was full.

I deleted it but it still didn't work, so being inpatient i deleted and re-installed kodi and its all working. I was wondering if there's a simpler way of fixing this next time and also how would i store folders like temp, cache ect on a thumb drive and also how do i maintain it properly so it don't have this problem again?

thanks

Stream, don't download (so you're not permanently saving videos) when given the option

ES File Explorer - http://www.droidboxforums.com/threa...file-manager-hd-and-root-browser.89/#post-185 - Head to the Tools menu on the left and expand it, scroll to and click on SD Card Analysis to check which folders (and so which app) is hogging space regularly

ZDBox - http://www.droidboxforums.com/threads/tweaking-apps.102/#post-224 - to clear lots of caches and temporary files. or CCleaner maybe.

You should be able to get 2 or 3Gb free and keep it at that level if you're not installing huge games or starting large downloads.

Thanks for the reply, i'm fairly sure i was streaming it, it was through Genesis but it was in 1080P so maybe that had something to do with it. Lesson learned I'm keeping an eye on the HDD from now on.
