    Hi,

I've heard recently their is a new Kodi v7 coming out but requires Android 5.0+ to run. I'm just wondering if it is possible for the M8s to be updated and if so, how I would go about doing that?

    Thanks in advance.

Source where you read/heard this please? I think you may be getting mixed up with the development builds (unstable and in testing phases)? Currently kodi krypton v17

Hi all. There is some small print in the official kodi wiki which confirms

You will need a firmware update from your box supplier to update android. Ask them if they propose such a thing.

You are able to do it yourself yes, BUT make double sure you get the correct firmware for your box model before flashing or you may well end up with a doorstop! A quick google turned this up and may help you out

Edit:: whoops looks like that's the m8s+ (that's what I'm taking about getting right box n firmware!!) but that site a good place to start, good luck!
