I have 38mbps most of time but when I use VPN it can drop to below 5mbps and I can struggle to get a decent stream without issues, can anyone advise a way to get better service

Make sure you are using a server geographically near to you to reduce network latency. Might help.
Also try different servers to see if some are better.

Can anyone help with this plz, I'm watching the golf via IPTV I have great stream, I decided to put VPN on and I can't get anything, I've changed locations and still nothing, I turn of VPN and I get perfect stream ?????

Your vpn will either be getting throttled by your provider (speeds too low to stream content) or your iptv sub doesn't allow using a vpn with it.

Must be provider, I have 2 different IPTV sub's who recommend VPN, will it do any good contacting provider ?

Not sure contacting your provider will help at all, what vpn and d/l speeds when connected to a local server?

I'm with VPN unlimited, i get 40mbps which drops to about 7 Mbps with vpn

Would look at another vpn because a drop of around a half your d/l speed (of which is about the norm from a decent vpn) when connected would be enough to stream. With just a quick google search vpn unlimited have a lifetime offer on at $38, I would definately stay away from that type as the offer speaks for itself #useless. Try digibit or nord and for the record ipvanish (of which I have tried twice) doesn't cut the mustard either.
