DeviceWiFi keeps dropping in and out and the actual speed is awfull. I have tested with 3 different sources (my adsl router and 2 different wifi hotspots from my 2 phones). The signal strength for the wifi is excellent but its unusable - keeps timing out when trying to download or load movies in plex etc. When I say its dropping in and out, the connectio to the AP\router is always connected but it doesnt seem to be able to download data etc. I have run speedtests on my pc and ipad and they are fine 20/30Mbps up and down.

Any advice would be welcome otherwise its going back?
Thanks
Mat

Hi Mat I get between 45 - 50mbps on the go, I set up a static ip address on both my T8s plus box and this projector as the box kept dropping ethernet connection. I ftp/sftp into my devices quite regular and noticed the last digit to each of those devices ip addy would change randomly. This happens on android devices and this fix was suggested to me on the forum and has cured the problem my end.

I have a netgear router and set the static ip's through the genie app on my pc as you have to login to you router to find connected device map and just change the specific device addy from say 192.168.1.4 to 192.168.1.10. Then it will always keep that address

Ok - so I set up a static IP on my sky router and the connection is much better, however what about when I want to use a hotspot on my mobile - still doesnt work. Does anyone have it working when connected to mobile phone WiFi hotspots?

Just used my jalbroken iphones 'tether me tweak' as a personal hotspot and the projector connects no problem, getting around 18mbps d/l speeds and watched about 10 mins of a 1080p movie stream with no hiccups at all.

Thanks very much for taking the time to test. I reckon I'll be sending mine back for a replacement.
