Probably worth checking with the Wookie team if you haven't done so already - http://wookiespmc.com/contacting-the-wookies/

If you definitely have a Beta version of Kodi 17.1 in use, I would search for Kodi in the Play Store, uninstall it with the button there, then click the install button. This will give you Kodi 17.1 (not a Beta version of it). You'll lose your data and need to reinstall your preferred add-ons/build but worth trying.

Also worth checking whether your ISP is blocking anything, https://droidbox.co.uk/how-to/bt-are-your-isp-add-on-problems/ and https://droidbox.co.uk/how-to/uk-isps-blocking-content-how-to-remove-their-filters/ are worth a read through.

I have tried uninstalling KODI and using CC cleaner to try and clean any remianing files. When I download KODI (Krypton version) and install it, the wookie build comes back up.
Is there any way to get rid of the wookie build completely?

HI, You may have the Wookie APK installed on your box and it may overwrite kodi when you open it, go to your settings > apps > and check to see if you have the Wookie app installed if you do uninstall it then try kodi

To clear a build of kodi go to your settings > apps > find kodi and press force stop then clear data.

Any chance you're clicking on the DroidBOX Media Centre (DBMC) link on the launcher's homescreen, rather than a shortcut for Kodi itself? Most common reason in the past at least, when people didn't realize they were two different applications.
