XBMC Has Vanished!

    The following applies to devices with firmware from the end of last year onwards.

    First, please double check that if you bring up the list of all installed Android applications, XBMC isn't listed there. If not, open a file browsing application (it should have File Manager or Explorer in its name somewhere), and navigate to /system/presinstall , you should see XBMC_DroidBOX.apk or XBMC.apk there. Please open it, if you get a warning, then click Settings, tick Unknown Sources and press the Go Back key and open it again.

    If you can't find the APK file, you could perform a factory reset. This will make the device think it has never been turned on before, and attempt to reinstall all the applications that should have initially been installed. This will wipe away any changes you've made to your device since you first used it though, hence suggesting the other approach first.
