Re XBMC, I'd try the procedure here first - Resetting XBMC To A "Just Installed" State
With the other apps, you could try doing the same as above (but obviously when you get to the Apps menu, select the name of the app not launching, rather than XBMC again).
If that doesn't help, try Google's Play Store - Signing In And Auto-Updates
If problems still persist, let us know the specific apps and which model you have.
