Xmbc returned itself to first time setup ??

Can you reboot your T8 please (just a normal one, nothing unusual). Then do nothing for 10 minutes, and next load XBMC. If the original setup from before yesterday re-appears, next time you reboot, wait 8 minutes before opening XBMC, repeat this until you find a sweet spot when XBMC reliably keeps older data. In some situations the areas XBMC stores data isn't made available to the system until after the XBMC app itself is capable of being run.
