Ive got same issue bought T8 from amazon was working great until a "friend" tryed to set up openelec (yeah i didnt know at the time it is only T8-S) I managed to get it back working by following this guide https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/t8-firmware-update-31-10-2015/ but after setting everything up again it crashed loading kodi and now its stuck black screen, blue light but no life whatsoever. Have tried everything but it just wont budge, does anyone know is there a droidbox repair place thats cheaper than buying a new box?

Matty mine kept failing too but then I realised, like an idiot, I was trying to boot it from a usb stick and noan SD card, when I followed the instructions properly and used the SD card, it booted up, and it's working fine now apart from one problem with a PVR Client

Hey guys,so many questions here:

First of when it comes to updating being broke you can manually install update from the SD card, please follow the guide below

https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/t8-s-ota-update-31-10-2015/

If this doesn't work for you please message us to [email protected] and we will see what we can do.

Also we do accept offers for custom repairs if you broke something on the box,for that also message us on our email to get more info.

When it comes to PVR simple client only 1 add on is requesting it and thats Israel Sports add on,simply disable/unistall add on or ignore the message when it comes to that matter!

Regards

I'm never going to sort this Vu Solo / Droidbox / PVR Client problem, never - because I don't know which of the three is causing it. Watching Live TV playbox via Droidbox from a VU Solo box using the VU/Enigma Client, constant buffering and unwatchable - but if I record that SAME program, and then watch it back via the client on the Droidbox - it's recorded perfectly, no lagging or anything...so live tv, unwatchable, recording of that same program, perfect...

I was going to try disabling VU client and trying Simple, but I don't have it anymore by the looks of it

15.2 from the link above has the PVR add-ons included in it.

If you want to double check re live streaming from your card, try different builds of DBMC and Kodi
You've got the link there for 15.2 from the blog,
Kodi 14.2 - http://droidboxcloud.com/index.php/s/bGb1mTRwywF7pBr/download
Kodi 15.1 - http://droidboxcloud.com/index.php/s/wldWz0bhukUGm8D/download
Kodi 16.0 current monthly snapshot - http://mirrors.kodi.tv/snapshots/android/arm/kodi-16.0-Jarvis_alpha4-armeabi-v7a.apk
DBMC v15.? (0 I think) - http://droidboxcloud.com/index.php/s/k7dbhg2ucVpzQav/download

If any of the builds are missing the Simple IPTV client PVR add-on, you can manually download the matching pack from
Kodi 14 - http://www.bbtsip.tv/kodi-14-ldquohelixrdquo.html
Kodi/DBMC 15.x - http://www.bbtsip.tv/kodi-15-isengard.html
Kodi 16 - http://www.bbtsip.tv/iptv-simple-client2.html

Hi, I'm so sorry to keep bothering everyone with this problem but it's still not sorted out. I have determined that the problem is definitely to do with the client on the droidbox. I have two droidboxes and neither will work with this VU SOLO box, one allows me to watch recordings but breaks up and lags on live tv, and the other won't even connect, I get the immediate message VU/ENIGMA CLIENT CONNECTION LOST as soon as I try it. I've done a complete factory reset on one box to no avail. The simple IPTV client as mentioned above doesn't appear to be compatbible, it asks for IPTV passwords and donations. I'm going to try going back to Kodi 14 and see what happens. I will happily PAY SOMEONE to fix this problem for me. Muggins here also went out and bought a £100 router which I was told would do the job but guess what, you can't use any other router with sky fibreoptic except their own...

Re Sky, double check if you can leave their hardware in place, then use your new router to serve your house internally (so fibre optic cable to Sky box, network cable from Sky box to new router, all network cables for rest of house plugged into new router). You might need to set the Sky hardware's IP address as the gateway in your newer router's config, and probably disable DHCP on the Sky one for LAN. Or consider splitting the DHCP pool between them if you can't disable.
Regarding passwords/donations for Simple IPTV client, you can definitely use it for some purposes without a donation, as there is an Israel (live? sport?) add-on that uses it, and vdubt25 use to have a playlist to use with it.
I've retitled this thread and put it in the Kodi area of the forum, in the hope it might get more visits from other DroidBOX members who have experience with using TV tuners.

Thank you. I know this is a trivial problem but it seriously driving me round the bend not being able to fix it. I can do the SKY ip address but when you get to the DHCP Pool I'm afraid I'm lost.
I really appreciate your help though.

I'm sure everyone will be relieved to know that I think I have fixed it at last! It was in XBMC, settings, video - playback - skip delay - I changed that to NONE, then in video -n acceleration I switched off Amcodec and the lagging and juddering stopped. At the moment it is probably a millisecond out but 100% better than it was.
