I have had other older kodi/xbmc boxes that have worked fine with a ntfs formatted external hard drive. I dont think that is the problem and in over 10 years I have never heard or read anyone saying that the hd format would affect anything. I think that the problem is with the box.

I think that there is only one acceleration option in openelec as opposed to three in android Koei, and it doesn't seem to work.

I find the playback is jerky on my openelec, mainly on SD video, HD seems to play fine. Kodi in Android plays a lot better. I may use the Android Kodi for my local content only and nothing else and then use openelec to run wookie and apps.

I have found that a lot of addons work in OpenELEC Kodi, but not in the Android Kodi. Why is that and how can I get them to work in the Android version?
