Hi, thanks that's helpful. Yes all windows updates done via WiFi which is fine. Alas the Ethernet problem is still the same. By manually installing latest realtek drivers now it shows unidentified network with a further error of gateway not available. This too from Google points to a driver...

I'll try contact via Amazon first as that's where I bought it. It's a shame, it's got potential but if boxes are being sold with this kind of issue, it doesn't bode very well :-(

Hi, yes the W8 is available on Amazon, sold by droid box. It seems the same as the W10 but not a dual boot, just pure windows. Yes I've googled too and tried all the suggestions, nothing seems to make any difference
