Am i best using the Kodi 16 version from this site or play store version..

Hi just wondered which version i am best running , i can get kodi 16 from this site which says its a custom build, if i use that in google play store it says theres an update which i am assuming if i installed would remove what ever is in the custom build supplied from here.

any advice?

The droidbox version of Kodi (dbmc) and vanilla Kodi (from Google play and the official Kodi site) are separate versions and can co-exist. I would not recommend that as they consume storage. The advantage of the vanilla version is that it will update automatically if you allow it. Generally updating to a newer version of Kodi will leave your current configuration intact. Which version you run is a matter of choice. Dbmc used to be based on "spmc" which was specifically designed for android machines. I run the vanilla Kodi version on my T8 and it runs well.
