Auto brightness

Hi,

I've got a Q7 running jellybean 4.2.2.

Whenever I navigate to a black back screen, eg the apps pages, the brightness fades down. It makes watching a movie with any night time scenes nearly impossible.

Is this auto brightness and if so how can I turn it off? If I go to settings, display the only two options I have are wallpaper and font size.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Check your TV for a setting that us equivalent to Dynamic Contrast. Turn it off. If you're not certain, let us know what you find and the make&model of your TV.
