Can you check your memory in storage.
Go to setting then other and more setting...scroll down to storage and see how much you have left. If its nearly full delete some apps and downloads you have.
Also while you are here clear cache for all apps too...hope this help, not sure on the bell sound.
Just one more thing to try, can your start your box up and stay at the main menu. Now send yourself an email to the account on your box, now when you receive it you should here an audio chime, does that sound like the bell you here if so thats what you can here.
If your box is starting to act up do a restore and clear cache, if that doesn't work factory set might be the case.
