Box keeps resetting to welcome screen

I have had my box for a few months with no issues until tonight. I now have an issue that resets the box to the welcome set up screen each time I power off/on - and following language, network and screen settings the link to xbmc is not present. I have tried the factory reset option utilising a cocktail stock in the av port bit this does not bring up the required menu, it just returns me to the welcome screen each time even though I feel the switch being pressed.

Also the backup and reset option via the settings menu fails to complete, it freezes displaying power off/shutting down pop up.

Had to revert to the pc and wiziwig to watch the swans top the league #YJB

Try flashing April's firmware - Firmware Upgrade Instructions for iMX6 Devices
This should stop the box from forgetting its settings, and also install XBMC as well. Don't forget the DroidBOX Wizard afterwards (and also to leave the iMX6 alone for twenty minutes, once you've completed the setup menu, and have selected a launcher to use).

Success !!! Had to perform a couple of times as it froze during the process but all now working fine.
