Hi all anyone know of a fix for the screen freezing when in settings and adding a new repo (I then force stop kodi and go back in and the repo has been added) I prefer the confluence customisable modded skin and when tryna add different addons to the submenu especially from my favourites BINGO it freezes. Addon shortcuts are fine from favs. I eventually get there in the end after stop starting but it's very annoying. Am using wookie pro Kodi 15.2, look forward to some enlightenment on this niggle from you peeps.

Also had a similar problem when turning wookie on when the auto updates start .everything freezes....was running it on kodi 15.2....decided to go back to 14.2 and everything is fine on that....today tried 15.2 again. And it froze.....used both Ethernet and WiFi with same results......try 14.2 mate.

Could also be a firmware issue....I have 3 t8s. 2 on 15.2. And 1 on 14.2.....find what's best and don't mess is my motto

Hi I've had this on Kodi 15.1, it happens when adding and repo then it should update, but it freezes.
It works fine on my laptop and hudl 2, seems to be my box that it does it.
Normally I use my remote to swipe it away and then reopen and like you said its there. Not sure there's a fix out there yet.

Maybe when SS gets to read this post he may poss get the wheels in motion for a fix, or maybe the next stable version of kodi this niggle may get ironed out. It's not a major problem and can live with it on 15.2 but as av said a tad annoying;)

Yes i am getting this when installing repos from zip files. Running 15.1 on an old non droidbox box and 15.0 on a t8 so dont think it is just a t8 issue.
Some mentions on google of other kodi users having this issue. Shame that 15.2 does not appear to have fixed it.
It may be a firmware issue - i'm running the original (jan 15) firmware on my t8. Is anyone having this issue on a recently bought t8?

I've had it once on my laptop a while ago, but since I've gone onto 15.1 its been ok. It happens when you've added the repo then when you install the add-ons it freezes up. That's when it normally updates everything, so I think its more a Kodi issue and nothing with droidbox.

Mark1, can you confirm if you are running "official kodi", d(droidbox)bmc, spmc or some other variants? My experience of official xbmc/kodi was it always gave you a manual update warning first. If you can confirm your version, it will help investigation.

Ok. I'm assuming you got your version of kodi from the google play store? As such, version control probably works the same way as any play store app - I.e. As a new version enters the store, it auto updates all clients, like every other google play app.

You should be able to disable the auto update feature.

In the play store, select "my apps".

Click on kodi (I'm using bbc iplayer as an example here as I don't have google play kodi version).

Click on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner.

Auto update box should appear - uncheck it.

Done.

Sorry nigelar the three dots give me sort by size and reset app preferences which would reset the whole lot...don't want to do that....thanks for trying anyway..much appreciated
