Which method are you using to access the files, and playing media files directly or via playlists? It would help if I read your post title properly! DNLA Media Player was the answer...

If not using native libraries in your network share navigating media playing app, ES File Explorer has nice network integration, and in reverse you can map the Android device's SD card area as a SMB share as well. See the Samba app link/description here - https://droidboxforums.com/threads/local-network-based-apps.101/

You could import the media files into XBMC's audio library, or use 3rd party (non-XBMC related) apps for audio.

What sort of audio system are you using (TV's speakers, amp etc), and are you using HDMI for the connection?

Have you read through https://droidboxforums.com/threads/multimedia-apps-video-players-dlna-audio-etc.93/ yet?

I've imported the files audio to xbmc music libary but there choppy in play back. Outside of xbmc I'm looking a decent media player with good play back .

The files are on my network NAS. So it needs to be dnla based or networked .

I'm listening through my denon amp via hdmi lead from droid box to amp.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Have you tried the Bubble UPnP app mentioned here - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp ?

In terms of network shares, ES File Explorer - https://droidboxforums.com/threads/file-managers-astro-es-file-manager-hd-and-root-browser.89/ , works pretty well normally. Scroll to the right until you see LAN/Cloud sections and click on the New + icon, then LAN.

Once the share is readily accessible in ES File Explorer, find your highest bitrate audio file, and try these apps (unless marked differently, search in the Play Store using the titles below):

n7player Music Player
Neutron Music Player (search for the Eval version) - some people state the audio quality is one of the best with this app, if it works on your device
PlayerPro Music Player (Trial version available)
Music Player : Rocket Player
Fusion Music Player
Poweramp Music Player (they have a demo version to experiment with before committing to paying anything)
jetAudio Music Player (again, go for the free/basic version)
Xplay music player

TTPod had a few mentions online, but the UI may not be in English initially. Try http://www.ttpod.com/download for a direct link to the APK
