droid reset itself lost xmbc? imx6

my box has reset itself just like someone else who posted on the 3rd October,
I have done everything stated on his post by helpful forum people but the machine will not factory reset - put button in and put power cable back in and pressed on to get blue light but it reboots as normal but will not allow me to get the factory reset screen?

any help please
