My Partners son has a Chomecast, which is very easy to set-up& work through his phone.
He's able to load "Showbox" amongst other Apps ;)

So as I haven't really got my head around my Droibox yet, I was wondering what benefits do I get compared to the Chromecast?
I tried Googling a "versus" page, but couldn't come up with much.
I realize I have a droidbox now, and I'm happy with it so far, even though I still have a lot of learning to go still.
The above question is just me being inquisitive.

Another point...
Will Droidboxes be able to be controlled/ cast from mobile phones in the near future?

Sorry if this question is a bit mundane

Any thing (mostly) you can get on an android phone you can load on a Droidbox since it runs native android. That includes showbox, BBC iplayer etc. I also use the Droidbox share app Sean refers to (I think you need a Droidbox with android lollipop) and use it to cast photos on my phone and occasionally music to my Droidbox.
