Hi there does the t8s pass through dts HD master audio and true HD? When I play ripped bluray uncompressed mkv files kodi in openelec downmixes to standard dts or dd. Is it a limitation of the Android box not to pass through HD audio? Kind regardsDan.

Try DBMC (DroidBOX Media Centre) in Android @Dan Brodie-Brawn , and tagging @David Savage as well so more likely to see this thread in the future.
I dont use this format on kodi as you need a fast broadband speed. I've have tried it and does work...on the T8-S go out of kodi and at the main boot menu go to setting and then Advanced. Here you can scroll down and turn on DTS HD.
Inside kodi go to system and system again, then Audio output. Make sure number of channels is 2.0, and enable passthrough. Also enable Dolby digital and DTS and enable Dolby transcoding too.
