I can no longer access my files on internal hard drive

As per title can't access my files, I've reformatted using open elec and created folders. However, when I switch back to android and click on the hard drive using es file explorer I get the message can't open file and when I try to add folder using es file explorer I get the message "sorry operation failed: unsupported partition type"
