Kodi not auto updating

Hi all, I am currently running libreelec and everything for the most part is great but I have noticed kodi is not auto updating, this really isn't a big deal as I can easily check for updates myself, just curious as to why I won't and if there is a fix for it, I have tried the usual clear cache/ purge packages etc.
