MXQ pro wifi

Hi to you all
Can anyone tell me is it possible to switch off the wifi device in my MXQpro box and connect using an external wifi booster.
The problem is this I use my box in my mobilehome in the south of France and on the site the wifi is at best poor I can access a nearby campsite wifi using my external wifi booster and get good signal strength. So can it be done?

Getting the booster to pick up the desired signal may be the issue as in my experience you have to press a button the router for the device to detect and lock into the desired signal. You could try switching wifi on the box off and connecting via an ethernet cable to the wifi booster device and see what signal it is picking up. I suspect you will still need the password of that network unless it is an open network though.

Hi many thanks for your reply I will have to get a usb to ethernet adapter I will let you know the result, should be interesting though
