Phone app to control droidbox?

There we go. As long as the firmware you're running has the RC server running, that APK should do the trick on your phone/tablet, assuming they're on the same network.

You could use a universal IR remote. Doesn't work with default Amlogic codes though. Any ideas of a brand with the same mapping?
If you're going down that route, you can use a Universal IR remote that can be taught codes, then use the original IR remote to train the new Universal one. Can do it with some of the buttons on a VIP remote control - https://droidbox.co.uk/accessories.html though most functions are already set on the VIP.
