Picture but no sound

Hi guys,

I have recently been experiencing problems with my iMX6. No sound is coming from the box at all and it is not the TV as all my other devices are working fine.

I have tried a factory reset (all methods) but this hasn't fixed the problem.

Can anybody shed any light over what the problem might be and what I can do to fix it?

Lawrence, can you check if this only occurs whilst the XBMC application is running, or whether no sound is produced in all situations? Also, there may have been another video cable included with your iMX6, a 3.5mm (headphone plug) to a triple phono (RCA) lead. If there was one, please use that to temporarily connect your iMX6 to your TV. If sound DOES work using that lead, it'll give us a clue as to the actual issue involved here.

Hi, thanks for your help. No cable was included with my box so I can't try that sorry. The sound problems are with the whole box, not just XBMC. Any other suggestions?

If you have a DVD/BluRay player or laptop/satellite box that also uses an HDMI cable, temporarily swap the HDMI cable and plug in your iMX6 device using that cable.If your original cable turns out to be faulty, e-mail us (see http://droidboxforums.com/threads/what-to-include-if-you-need-to-e-mail-us.364/ ) and we'll send a replacement.
