There is a lot of unusable dross on my M8,, broken links and specialist channels, having been playing with it for some time, especially in XBMC, most of which I will never use.
Is it useful to uninstall these XBMC add ons, and also surplus Android apps, to optimise use of memory. If so how would I get rid of these add one, and also uninstall Android apps which I don't need?
For example, there are at least 4 or 5 add ons in XBMC which are basically skins for Film On and use exactly the same content, but perhaps presented differently or rearranged. For BBC there are only 2 versions I have found, BBC iPlayer and FilmOn. I would keep these and get rid of Not FilmOn, Expat a TV Tv Player and UKIP TV.

For removing Android apps go to Settings - Apps - select the unwanted app and press Uninstall.

To Clear XBMC addons - > go to Settings ->Apps -> XBMC and select Clear Data

Thanks. I was actually asking if I could remove or rearrange the video add on icons within XBMC, as only a few are useful. I cleared data for XBMC once before by mistake instead of clearing the cache, and it resulted in a total reinstall via the wizard, and I lost all my favourites, and the progress ticks for the box set episodes I had viewed!

Hi,

Please visit this link and read more about how to add Homescreen Shortcuts For AddOns in XBMC-- http://droidboxforums.com/threads/how-to-add-homescreen-shortcuts-for-add-ons-in-xbmc.30/

If you want to delete or uninstall addons, you can also do it. Just Open XBMC>hover you mouse to "Systems"(Don't click it)> under it, click "Video AddOns"> Scroll down until you get to the bottom> Click "Get More" box> click the Addon you want to uninstall> click "Uninstall".

Thanks! o_O
