Hi guys. Is there any way to test my internet download speed at my Droidbox?. I've tried to do it from the browser on my apps (google) by searching for a speed test site but none of them will run a test. I'm getting 20meg at my PC via lan cable, my Droidbox is hard wired via a 5 metre lan cable to the router.

Also are there any adjustable settings on the Droidbox that will reduce bufferring?. I've purchased (for a trial) a Hotspot Elite VPN to allow NBC Sports to work, picture quality is great but get lots of bufferring on live streams. I realsie that there are free VPN's but Hotspot was reccomended as easy to set up for a technophobe like me!

Any help and advice welcomed.

Steve

Speedtest.net's app is installed on most of our devices I believe - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest&hl=en_GB
I also use V-Speed.eu's app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.speedtest.android
and Optimal Software's over at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.broadbandspeedchecker

Different apps, multiple tests are used normally, as I've seen very different results within a couple of minutes of each other, using the same server and app.

If the buffering is whilst watching NBC , does the VPN provider allow you to switch to a different address ?
May be unrelated but there are multiple posts on forums atm reporting problems with the NBC add on , general consensus is that it is down atm.
