Hi just bought t8 box when booted up in not getting the interface I've seen on the vid's with the 6 coloured boxes kinda windows xbox live style any ideas where I've went wrong

The videos were recorded when we had our previous firmware in place on T8s. You've not done anything wrong.
The circle with six dots is the equivalent of the old My Apps shortcut.
The two cogs take you to Settings.
The +- sign on the right is where you click to add new custom shortcuts
Click the XBMC logo to start Kodi (new name for XBMC).
