Why won't my T8 S plus update

I click OTA update and it says 1.0.3 found so I click install it downloads then android logo comes up whilst installing and then it reboots and says 1.0.3 available again. If I could find a custom ROM I'd install that instead as this is complete junk.

@TonyUK The firmware is junk, or the update process?
