X7 has today dropped wifi connection, but all other devices in the house connect fine to router (iPhone & laptop etc).

Have tried both inside of XBMC and also any apps from desktop (Youtube etc) still won't stream any content at all. Menus load fine but no content will playback.

I have read this may be fixed by creating a static IP on the X7 box.

Can any one please advise on how to do this and if it will help in any way?

Thanks

The same happened to me on 2 seperate devices and the boxes were replaced. I mucked about with them for ages and when i did get the wifi back i got loads of error messages. Just contact them back through the program you bought the box off. Thanks.

Im now o my 3rd box and all seems to be fine so far!

Shieldz - first thing to try, remove the WiFi connection settings and start again.
Open up Android's settings (if you see a colourful tabbed interface, click the last tab and click the More Settings button) and select the WiFi entry.
Now long-click on your WiFi network's name and select Forget Config. Now click the same network again and enter your password. Keep an eye on the screen and take a note of any errors displayed. Open up the browser app and google something, then try XBMC again to see if all is well. If that doesn't help, try a factory reset - https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/how-to-access-your-droidboxs-recovery-menu/ . One other things to try is the WiFi Analyzer app, see http://droidboxforums.com/threads/wifi-analyzer.83/

Thanks for your help and suggestions, but as I am having to reset this device often and re download wizard on a weekly basis just to get it work, I have today send x7 back to DroidBox for a replacement.

But appreciate your input.
