Trying to set up a new X7 Ultimate I received a few weeks ago. Set up as per manual but cannot sign in to Google Play Store. If I use my existing email address it says "Signing in..." indefinitely, and if I try a new gmail account it says "Checking availability..." again indefinitely.

I've tried wifi and ethernet connections and I've factory reset the unit a few times, still the same. The internet connection is good and I can use Chrome to browse the internet no problem, until I try to log into my account and then it brings up the same "Signing in..." screen which stays there until cancelled.

Any suggestions please
